If I set the whm backup to /home/backup as home is the only partition I have spare space on, will that cause any problems, as there is a big warning
My thoughts are a backup folder under home wouldn't cause a problem, the space on the home partition would more than cover any site backup.

    Any thoughts please?

It is not recommended to have backups on the same drive as backups are performed if incase the partition OR drive is inaccessible corrupt. Will recommend to create a separate partition on the server OR configure remote backups. If you currently do not have them, you can configure it on the same partition though.
