Backup /var/named with remote FTP backups

Is there a way to backup /var/named while still doing remote FTP backups?

We're looking for a way to backup zone files automatically.

Which utility are you using for backups? I think it is eventually possible using rsync utility, did you try that before? Or you want to achieve this with the cpanel backup model?

Ftp user must have jailshell access enabled on remote server for the rsync backup configuration.
Else you will have you have to take help of your host for the rsync backup configuration.

Right now we're using /scripts/cpbackup to backup all the sites. We'd like to backup all the named files at the same and method all the sites are backed up.

We could use rsync, just trying think of an easier method.

rsync would be the easiest and fastest method to do this, although you do get the zone files in each packaged account when using our backup tools.
