When backing up, I break it into two catagories: user accounts and the main cpanel/WHM settings and guts.

    Which gives me two questions:

    1)
Now assuming each user is backing up their stuff via the cPanel backup functions (or I'm doing it for them via a script) I'll be able to restore their account from that so that all is exactly the same as it was, including email accounts, spam settings, mysql databases, password protected directopries, etc, etc.
    Correct?

    2)
If so, then in WHM I want to set backup so that If my entire server dies I can resinstall the OS, reinstall cpanel, restore WHM/cPanel to what it was before via my backup, then restore all of the accounts via their backups mentioned in question 1.

So what settings would I use at:
    In WHM->Backup->Configure Backup
    to accomplish that via ftp?

    Backup Status: enabled
    Backup Interval: Daily
    Days to run backup: mtwtfss
    Remount/Unmount backup drive: disabled
Bail out if the backup drive cannot be mounted: disabled
    Incremental backup: disabled

    Backup Accounts: disabled
---if enabled does this do what the cpanel backup does for users?

    Backup Config Files: enabled
    Sql Databases: ???
    ---What does each option offer??

    Backup Raw Access Logs:
---What are the advantages/disadvantages of this option?---

    Backup Type: remote ftp
    ftp settings...

    TIA
