    Hello,

I would like to backup my server every day (is this a good idea?) If I click configure backup what options do I need to enable, e.t.c?

Where do I create the directory for the backup destination?

I only have one harddrive so the backups will go on the same drive as everything else on the server, is that ok?

    Thanks for any help.

Not quite. Backups would need to be in a directory within a partition that does not have quotas enabled. Backup files are owned by the account owner and so if backups are on a quota-enabled partition, they would be counted when determining how much disk space a user has used - not a good option!

If you don't already have a partition set aside for backsup, you'd need to create a virtual file system and mount it as a partition. Chirpy has done this for me before and it works a treat.

Any ideas how I create a virtual file system and mount it as a partition?
