I have not been able to get any kind of backups to work on my box. I am running WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R7965

I tried running /scripts/cpbackup to manually trigger a backup, and I got these errors:

There are more, but you get the idea.... I do not know the last time this was working, but due to a backup server being down, it's been a long while since I've tried this.

    hi

    hope that this information helps

from 5 server a total of 3 giving me problems with backup and account creation and termination

so i did the fix posted here:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=67576

that consist basically in editing /etc/cpupdate.conf and checking if there is a line like that

cpanel=stable (if you want cpanel 10.x)
cpanel = release (if you want cpanel 11.x)

    and then /scripts/upcp --force

after this if i turned my /etc/cpupdate.conf into

cpanel=never the issue occurs again in the next day so i am testing manual and stable as default to cpupdate.conf

    what seems to solve this

i also changed to proftp instead of pure-ftpd due to pure's username system seems to have changed after the update of cpanel if starts to ask for username@domain.com rather than username only

    regards

    Claudio
