Is bandmin/acctboth necessary for bandwidth tracking at the account level? From the looks of it I say no, but figured I'd ask you guys with more experience.

Here's my situation. I have a pre-wrote iptables script that builds a nifty firewall. But... it starts out by wiping all iptables chains and rules, which includes acctboth. I'm wondering what impact I'll see.

I have noticed that after maybe a day the acctboth chain is back again, so I figure if there's a way to tell it to go ahead and rebuild itself I could slip that in after my script.

I could go through the trouble of modifying my script to delete all chains except the acctboth and the reference to it in the INPUT chain, but at this point that would be a headache.

So, what's the impact of me dumping acctboth? Am I missing anything important?
