Bandwidth counting for account reports server total!

    A trusted client of ours his had account automatically suspended because he was apparantly exceeding his bandwidth. For some reason his usage epeared to have jumped from a modest monthly 200MB average to over 1GB for the first few days of this month.

    We checked everywhere and considered stuff like formmail abuse. For a moment we even wondered if he could have turned into a spammer overnight.

    On closer inspection, we found that the /var/cpanel//bandwidth/ listed a total value for this month that equaled that of the whole server.

    A small error in an otherwise very useful tool, caused us quite an embarrasment.

    The world is simply not perfect, even if you use Cpanel ;) Support Ticket Number:

    I have a client who is not happy, there account was suspended
    without warning, for exceding bandwidth limit. There limit is 2 gig they have only used a little over 100 meg. What is up with this.
