I'm checking into this for a friend, so a direct answer would be helpful.

What does cpanel use for it's bandwidth monitoring/checking to disable sites that are over? I'm thinking it would be in a cron job, but I don't access to a cpanel box to check.

The problem is, if a site runs up 30gb in a day, they're not disabled until that night if they're over their allocations. As I understand it the bandwidth check happens only once per night. I would like to change it to run every 6 hours, to be more responsive.

How can I go about this? The docs are none too clear about what controls this aspect of Cpanel.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

so it's upcp thats run from cron.. he would have to extract the bw monitor information and do it seperately if he didn't want to do backups and such, huh?

    thanks for the help!
