    hello

is there any way i can do one of the following:

    1. setup monitoring for bandwidth usage either per-domain or per-ip address, regardless of what port traffic is being used on?

    or, if not...

    2. block traffic on all ports not specificially allowed, and then set up monitoring on a specific set of ports?

    cheers,
    salamandyr

the most used ports are http and ftp
the bw used on the other ports is nothing compared to the two above.
With a lot of customization you could do the things you want, but it aint worth it.
(To block traffic on unwanted ports you have to use a firewall)

    okay,

but what if i have people installing realmedia servers, jabber, etc?

this will potentially use up a lot of bw.
