    Hi,

I have mod_userdir and all the security settings enabled for users on my server, however if someone access their home directory through http://server.hostname.com/~username/ the http request to not logged into the username's logs, ie. bandwidth is not counted and there are no statistics.

Instead it's logged to the server's nobody logs and this is the same whether its accessed using an IP.

Is there anyway to fix this and get the http request logged to the right user?

    No.
This is the correct behaviour for cpanel.
If a user is likley to go over their limit they just link via http://xx.xx.xx.xx/~username/ and you have to pay the bill for their downloads.

You can disable mod_userdir but this will prevent people having a temporary address.

If you use the API you could setup the account so that:

domain.com.servermname.com (based on a wildcard of your server IP address) is parked on top of domain.com
This would give them a temporary address to use until the main one has started working and as it is a parked domain the bandwidth will be added to their own usage.
Then you can stop using mod_userdir

    Gordon
