At the moment cPanel sends an email out at 80% of bandwidth usage, is there any way to change the notification level to say 95%? Even the possibility of an addition into the server setup "Email users when level of bandwidth reached [box]"

Has this issue been addressed? 80% is very low. We routinely see several notifications during the last week of every month from several sites. Is there anyway to change this?

    thank you.

I would also like to know if:

    * there's a way to set the notification level
    * there's a way to set multiple notification levels (for example, notification to the admin only at 80%, second notification to the admin plus notification to the client at 90%)

Also, we're seeing multiple notifications to the same client once they've passed 80%. Isn't it only supposed to notify us one time per month - when they originally hit that magic number (as opposed to four and five notifications a day)?

This issue has been discussed numerous times here on the forums. The bandwidth and disk space notification system is horrendous, in my opinion. Where do we start?

    • The limit before the e-mails go out is non-configurable.
    • The number of times per day the messages go out is non-configurable.
    • The actual text of the message is non-configurable.
    • The option to allow the system administrator and/or reseller to be CC'd or BCC'd on any of the messages has not been implemented (as a small web hosting provider, I damn well want to know when cPanel is e-mailing my customers, and I want to know what it is telling them).
    • The bandwidth notices always say 80%, even if the user is up to 85%, 90% or more. So, they give the customer a false sense that they are well within their limits, when they are not.

Please, do us all a favor and submit a FEATURE REQUEST to get this "feature enhancement" implemented. If nobody is asking for it, cPanel will spend their time elsewhere.

Feature enhancement requests are done via the cPanel Bugzilla system. Here is my bugzilla for all of these feature enhancements:

    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1319

I think it would be helpful if others left additional comments on this ticket, versus opening up separate tickets (I think that is how it works)

I just cannot believe there are only 3 comments on this Feature Request.

Guys, if you want cPanel to fix this, you have to ask! Please add your comments to the Bugzilla link above.

    Ugh...

    Just found this.

I'm going to go see about trying to add to bugzilla on this.

This is now a thorn in my side -- when the 80% hits, both I and my clients are getting emails *every 15 minutes*. That's not acceptable to me!

Yeah, it's amazing how long this problem has been allowed to persist. I think if enough of you added your votes & comments to the Bugzilla, something would be done. But, apparently the lack of support means it's low on the list.
