    Hi,

The last 2 days has seen one of the accounts on my server hit 11gb bandwidth according to WHM's bandwidth viewer - MUCH MUCH more than a normal month of bandwidth. He has no downloads available, and only 179 visitors this month. No open email relays either.

I deleted the bandwidth log entries and still it shows as 11gb used.

    Any idea what's going on?

    James

I'm starting to notice bandwidth inaccuracies as well. Over 200MB being used overnight. I had bandwidth problems with Ensim 3.0 (i think it was 3.0, 3.1 fixed it) and now it looks like i'm going to have the same with cPanel. I'll have to wait a few more days to make sure though :(

Here is my problem (WHM 7.1.0 Cpanel 7.1.0-R20 RedHat 7.3)

Under "View Bandwidth Usage" in WHM. It does not show bandwidth usage. It stopped working on June 25, 2003.

I check Bandmin (ex. www.mysite/bandwidth/) and it is correctly reporting bandwidth usage.

I checked the cron logs for bandmin and it is there.

I upgraded to the latest version of Cpanel (above) and it is still not updating bandwidth usage.

    -----------

How do I trouble shoot this problem?
How often is Cpanel supposed to update "bandwidth usage" stats?
Where can I find info on how Cpanel intergrates Bandmin to come up with bandwidth stats?

There is a real dearth of information out there on Bandmin/Cpanel. The bandmin.org website leads to porn.

There is something going on. Everything was fine in May. WHM/Cpanel was reporting a reasonble fraction of what Bandmin was. In June, and now July, I'm only seeing 10-20% of the Bandmin amount being reported on all sites across several servers. This includes one of my own sites that is basically all http traffic. 12 gigs in Bandmin and one gig in WHM/Cpanel.

I have posted this request for help in other forums but no one responds.

Is there anyone who knows how to turn the "bandwidth usage" reports "On" or trouble shoot this problem.

    Hello.
I also have some problems with bandmin, it's stop counting traffic by unknown reason. For enable this feature i do follow:
    cd /usr/local/bandmin
    ./bandminstart
Check that in your /var/spool/cron/root file exists this line:
    2,58 * * * * /usr/local/bandmin/bandmin
If not, ad this line and restart cron daemon.

    Hello,

Thanks for the information. I just noticed my Bandwidth usage (current month) = 0.00 Megabytes in my Cpanel now and I guess it's been doing this for some time now.

I followed your directions above and everythings seems to be in order, but the bandwidth is still at 0.00.

Would anyone happen to have any further suggestions? Is this becoming a problem for many people now? If so, what do you do for your customers?

    Thanks.
