I have finally figured out how to upload a banner, but it seems to display very choppy. What am I doing wrong? I'm a newbie so, if anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

It could be your not using the orginal image size and trying to resize it using HTML. That is usually what causes dithered images if they were not dithered when you saved them in the first place.

    Example: image size is 468 x 60

    You use: <img src="someimage.gif" width=80 height=500>
