I've noticed that cPanel changes the bash prompt for shell users on my RHEL system. And the non-root users have the pound symbol (#) in front of their prompt instead of the typical dollar sign ($). I'm not using Jailshell or anything like that.

Anyone know how to change this behavior?

export PS1='whatever you want as your prompt, you can also call binaries like date etc...'
    in your .bashrc file.
