Benfit to Reverse DNS?

    Hello there. What are the benifits to Reverse DNS? I tried to search but lost somewhere along the way. Very new to this.

    You only need one rDNS record for each IP address - benefits are that your email will be delivered to email servers that refuse email because you don't have one configured - which is a lot of mail servers as it's often used as an anti-spam measure. Usually, you won't have the authority to setup rDNS PTR records, that lies with the netblock owner which is often the NOC where the server is based.
