I currently have a server running Red Hat ES 3.0 and cPanel... I was wondering, knowing very little about what is available out there, what ya'll would recomend to use to automate the process ofnew people signing up for hosting accounts.

I can get the payment gateway setup with a merchant account, but what out-of-the-box software exists to automate the billing & setting up of new accounts?

    Thanks

    WHM.AutoPilot

    I recommend WHM.AutoPilot.

Currently v2 is limited to a certain extent, but does the job well. It automates the creation of cPanel accounts upon a successful payment. Integrates with over 13 Payment gateways. Accept domain registrations ( Automate that with eNom ) There are many more features as well.

v3 is currently a Public BETA ( For licensees to try out ) and is nearing a Stable release.

There are other solutions out there, but I recommend WHM.AutoPilot

    3rd.

I have WHMAP on my server and its perfect. It has its little 'annoyances' but its benefits far outweigh it.

It sync's with your WHM on your server so you can automate signups and it'll take care of emailing their login info/etc to them.

    I highly recommend it.

    clientexec

i use client exec (clientexec.com) and have found it to work for me, i do offline credit card transactions and direct bank deposits which some of the others don't handle. I have a whoiscart licience but found clentexec to work for me. Ebay has a couple of basic scripts also.
    cheers

I use AutoHost on one of my sites. http://idevspot.com <--- AutoHost can be purchased there.

I find it really good. It integrates with PayPal and is also easy to set up with WHM etc.

We have only used Lpanel for a couple weeks now but it has been great, and it's the only one of the 4 I have tried that has had no errors.

Lpanel is great until you need support... can be easily 3 days before you get a reply, and any follow-up will take another 3 days or more. I have tickets unanswered for 3 weeks. No phone support either. If your business depends on this software (awesome when it works), you can be crippled for days until you get a support issue resolved when something does go wrong. Promises of improved support over the past 2 years has not kept up with their growth. It's very sad.

The best is AWBS. AWBS can do so much more then any other panel I have used. At first glance it looks choppy and looks as if it cannot do much at all, but once you learn how to use it, you'll understand how this is really and truly the best web hosting manager. It works with cPanel/WHM and others too.

The thing about this company is, they don't have good templates at all and can be confusing sometimes, they have a problem of presenting there product. But I'm sure you will just love it. You can find people on there to make you a custom layouts or blend it in with yours for around $100-$800.

Any other automation script is just a joke.

I believe im going to buy AWBS, it seems more pro than WHM Autopilot, at least, its more easy to use. The thing I dont like is the nav bar as a column on the left, WHM autopilot is better for quick use because its at the top. Eitherway this can be customized later on (seems logic to be able to edit it).

Any pros and cons about these 2 hosting automated scripts?

    Cya!

I just came across Ubersmith.com and its by far, the best software Ive found for automated hosting and billing.

Ok, ubersmith is not a choice, its really good product, its expensive, but it does not support php5 nor mysql5. Its a shame, ill have to buy from its competitors.
