Best OS for cPanel

    With all the new OS's now being supported by cPanel, the question of the best OS option looms. I would like some input from old school cPanel users thaqt have at least 5 yrs. cPanel experience.

    Your thoughts?

    I think you should look through these forums. There are multiple polls and threads dealing with this exact issue.

    We have run on RH 7.x/8.x/9.x/RHE, CentOS and Fedora with no issues at all. FreeBSD seems to be a very good platform if you know the OS, it requires a little more tweaking for Cpanel it seems.

    If you dont' know FreeBSD..I recommend CentOS.

    just switched from freebsd to centos
    works perfect :D

    RHEL3 here (Same as CentOS). Works beautifully if you can keep up :cool:

    Ive used cPanel with FedoraC2 for a while and works great! All the great aspects of RPM with great stability.

    i've used cpanel with rhel / centos and it works great i've also used red hat 9 with cpanel and that works ok but not as good as rhel / centos
