Guys, I did some searching and couldn't seem to find an answer to my question but apologize if I'm making a noob mistake here.

Can someone give me advice on the best cPanel/WHM upgrade policy weighted heavily toward stability and security? I currently skip about every other Stable release. Wise, or not?

Your help is much appreciated. ;)

Hello :)

You can find a detailed guide on our releases at:

cPanel & WHM Versions and the Release Process

I recommend using the "Stable" build tier and leaving automatic updates enabled. This tier has received considerable public exposure, testing, and verification before it's release.

Thank you.

I wish it was possible to have automatic updates when the minor or build number changes, but manual updates when the major or parent number changes ;)

This is one of the benefits of our long-term support releases. For instance, you will notice the 11.40 LTS release is currently at the same version as 11.40 on the "Stable" tier. However, the drawback is that you will not get updates as quickly as the "Release" or "Current" tiers do.

Thank you.
