    Hello,
    I have a big problem with DNS setup in cPanel. I found it today.
    I can not update cpanel, upcp -- force not work
    I can not fixeverything!

    Problem :
    warn [fixrndc] /usr/sbin/rndc status failed: WARNING: key file (/etc/rndc.key) exists, but using default configuration file (/etc/rndc.conf)rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused

    solutions:
    - I was disabled firewall completely but it don't resolve problem
    - ./fixrndc this return the above error
    - rndc-confgen : I used new config generated with this command in rndc.key & rndc.conf, but problem persist!
    - ./fixndc.new output:
    Found key in (include) named.conf ..
    Found controls in named.conf ..
    named.conf has already been fixed!

    But I can not update yet, problem not solved yet even with fixndc.new

    Can anyone help please?
    Thank you

    - - - Updated - - -

    in addition, fixndc.new will empty rndc.key so I fill rndc.key content from rndc.conf, but problem persist yet.

    root [/scripts]# ./fixndc
    warn [fixrndc] /usr/sbin/rndc status failed: WARNING: key file (/etc/rndc.key) exists, but using default configuration file (/etc/rndc.conf)rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused

    !! fixrndc requires a syntactically correct /etc/named.conf.
    !! No changes were made to /etc/named.conf. Problem was:
    !! /etc/named.conf:4: unknown key 'rndc-key'

    -------------------
    named.conf first lines:

    1- include "/etc/rndc.key";
    2 -
    3 - controls {
    4 - inet 127.0.0.1 allow { localhost; } keys { "rndc-key"; };
    5 - };

    Hello,
    Problem occurred again after rebuilding apache

    The only difference between this server and other servers is that I setup /var partition in a second hard drive for performance reasons
    Do you think this is the reason of problem?
