I'm looking for a simple billing type package that just lets me keep track of accounts. I refuse to use modernbill. Wasn't there something called like cpanel host automation or something?

Anything that aids in tracking and setting up accounts?

    Recommend your favorites please!

    any work with quickbooks

There seems to be a lot of options for billing and support. Do any work with Quickbooks?

    lpanel.net
    whnbilling.com
    perlbill.com
    modernbill.com (I know you don't want it)
    whmautopilot.com

    God Bless,
    Oscar

may i ask why you refuse to use modern bill ?

I'm not trying to be picky or anything here, i'm genuinely interested in your reason as i just purchased their script for a full year.

I use PerlBill, I used modernbill for sometime, but found that it had way too many options and was much more that was needed. Maybe I just didn't have the patience to correctly set it up. It's a great script though.

I had perlbill, and moved fast to modernbill. PerlBill was severely lacking in features (and support/features to be added!) I guess you prefer simple things -- that's ok! :)

Modernbill has a-z integration and I'm so happy.

    whmautopilot sucks...

I am using it and it would be lovely if I wrote it but I did not and in reality its nothing more than a beta release

It falls short of a complete package right now but I am sure in a year or so it will be great.

I would just like to say that I personally use Modern Bill and I am VERY happy with it.

However I can understand that for people that don't want all the bells and whistles, just a script that takes signups or does the basics then modern bill can be huge overkill.

The best is dreamcost, its very easy to install (web Based ) and simply to control and use. Also option for full automation.

    Now that what I like..:D

Something that should be mentioned about ModernBill is customer support.

MB is very responsive to support issues. They actively monitor and respond to forum posts and tickets.

I wish the same could be said for all support forums I subscribe to :( ;)

Yes support should be the most important thing using any billing program or software company as it keeps the customer happy.

Not to many offer that, Most don't even go to there forum for days, take weeks to reply with email.

    But can say.

Dreamcost have a full house of whys to get help, use the forum, email them, talk to them using chat. Yes the forum has tech moderators too using AIM, Yahoo and other chat programs.

    Alway somebody in the forum.

Wow, what a mature response, not. They're trying, you know.
Best thing you can do is quit nitpicking.

I bought a license for both WHMautopilot and Modernbill. I run these on two different servers as they are both a little different in design. For Cpanel I really like WHMautopilot and for everything else I like Modernbill. Tried ClientExec before and really liked it as well, but I'm afraid the updates weren't there when I most needed them. However, it's still very nice. :)
