    Hi,
Today while deleting one of the reseller accounts on cpanel server RH7.2 R87 i think, i get this error:

    # service named restart
    Stopping named: [FAILED]
Starting named: named: relocation error: /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0: undefined symbol: _dl_cpuclock_offset
    [FAILED]
    #

Also I cant do /scripts/upcp, I see this error in there:

unable to retrieve file unknown host: rsync.cpanel.net
Cannot connect to update source layer2.cpanel.net: Invalid argument

Also doing manual upgrade i get this:
    wget http://layer2.cpanel.net/Cpanel-6.0.0-STABLE_109-Linux-i686-glibc-2.1.3-21.2mdk
    --08:26:59-- http://layer2.cpanel.net/Cpanel-6.0.0-STABLE_109-Linux-i686-glibc-2.1.3-21.2mdk
    => `Cpanel-6.0.0-STABLE_109-Linux-i686-glibc-2.1.3-21.2mdk'
Resolving layer2.cpanel.net... failed: Host not found.

    Can sone one help

    thanks

Sounds like there was a problem with Cpanel Servers as the URL's 'are' valid. Try doing an update again and should be no problems.

you wont be able to access anything outside your network/server/box however you wanna put it, if bind is messed up. You'll have to ping a site and use an IP address instead of a domain name. As said above make sure your nameservers are correct, check in WHM make sure its setup correctly there as well, who knows.

Do a search on google for this "undefined symbol: _dl_cpuclock_offset" I did really quick and found a lotta responses, might find your answers there if you cant figure it out ;)

I got the rsync problem you mention some days ago.
netstat reveiled that there was a persistent connection to the cpanel server
    A reboot solved the issue.
