This happened twice already, both solved by a reboot.

But the problem is that it keeps happening over and over again:
    Code:
    [email]root@cp1.myhostdns.org[/email] /etc # /scripts/restartsrv named
    Waiting for named to restart..............finished.

rndc: connection to remote host closed
This may indicate that the remote server is using an older version of
the command protocol, this host is not authorized to connect,
    or the key is invalid.
named did not return a status report

    Code:
    [email]root@cp1.myhostdns.org[/email] /etc # service named status
rndc: connection to remote host closed
This may indicate that the remote server is using an older version of
the command protocol, this host is not authorized to connect,
    or the key is invalid.
    [email]root@cp1.myhostdns.org[/email] /etc #

That shows, the keys are correct, but it fixes itself after a reboot of the machine.

Anyone know what is going on?

I'm having the same exact problem - does anyone have any input on this? Thanks and take care.

I had this happen the other day, and as reported by others, a reboot solved it. It's only the first time it's happened but it's quite puzzling.
