Bind on cPanel10 and FreeBSD5.3 - I'm desperate!

I had my datacenter install cPanel/WHM 10.0.0.R11 on a fresh FreeBSD 5.3 server.
Bind will not run and produces this error on restarting:
named has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "named is not running"). Jan 31 11:24:33 server1 named[978]: starting BIND 9.3.0 -u bind -c /etc/namedb/named.conf Jan 31 11:24:33 server1 named[978]: could not configure root hints from '/var/named/named.root': file not found Jan 31 11:24:33 server1 named[978]: loading configuration: file not found Jan 31 11:24:33 server1 named[978]: exiting (due to fatal error)
I made an new (empty) file var/named/named.root. On restarting bind:
named started ok Jan 31 11:31:54 server1 named[1066]: starting BIND 9.3.0 -u bind -c /etc/namedb/named.conf Jan 31 11:31:54 server1 named[1066]: command channel listening on 127.0.0.1#953 Jan 31 11:31:54 server1 named[1066]: zone 0.0.127.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN: loading master file /var/named/localhost.rev: file not found Jan 31 11:31:54 server1 named[1066]: zone 1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.IP6.ARPA/IN: loading master file /var/named/localhost-v6.rev: file not found Jan 31 11:31:54 server1 named[1066]: zone 1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.IP6.INT/IN: loading master file /var/named/localhost-v6.rev: file not found
Adding those missing files produces this on restarting bind:

Can anyone please help with this problem? I've never struck anything like thisbefore. I'm getting desperate now as the server was meant to be running hours ago.

I had the exact same problem/errors last week with a new 5.3 install. I opened a ticket with Cpanel and Kyle got it fixed and working properly.

Make a backup of your named.conf file, then use the Perform a DNS cleanup in WHM and it will remove all the IP v6 stuff from the named.conf file.

Thanks for the replies. My host came to the party and fixed it. Apparently some files were in the wrong place and as easyhoster1 wrote, some lines in named.conf were causing problems.
