    x - creating lock directory
    x - extracting /etc/rc.d/init.d/named (text)
    x - creating lock directory
    x - extracting /usr/sbin/named-wrapper.c (text)
    cc named-wrapper.c -o named-wrapper
Shutting down named: [ OK ]
    Shutting down named: [FAILED]
    Starting named: [ OK ]

Today my DNS clusters don't work. I have up to 5000 entries.

How many zones can I manage with named?. Why do I need to use a named-wrapper?
