    Hi,

How do I set an email that will forward everything sent to that address to /dev/null?

    theoretically, this should work:
assuming your domain is example.com, and the email u wanna direct to /dev/null is called null@example.com
    Code:
    pico /etc/valiases/example.com
    [email]null@example.com[/email]: |/dev/null

NOTE: you DO NOT have to create that email address in CPanel

    et voila. all done. :)

post here of ur outcome, thanks.

    regards,
    kelvin

An alternative method is to use Cpanel > Default Address and the set the main Domain to :fail: or :blackhole:

This way, it will apply to any eMail address used with that Domain name.

..unless you specify a forwarding alias. If you wanted all mail except 'sparky@' to get discarded, set the default to :blackhole: and a forwarder for 'sparky' to another POP account. This way, catchall is disabled (effectively), and only the mail to an alias you want is passed.
