Block attachments incoming emails

Lots of spam that comes through to abuse and noc @ email addresses since by default you're not supposed to have spam filters on such addresses.

I want to block all compressed attachments and only allow pdf files. I'm using Outlook 2016 and there's no way to set rules for particular attachments.

I tried variations in email filters in cPanel, nothing seems to work.

Tried any header, body, with "contains" and tried different options like:

*.zip
.zip

Nothing works. They still come through.

I made that very clear in my original post. Did you not see this? The link doesn't address my issue at all. Subject of my post says "lock attachments incoming emails" while your link refers to outgoing emails.

I apologize for the confusion. I was seeking further clarification on variations. I was curious if any other methods aside from specifying *.zip and .zip had been used, such as any other regular expressions in any custom exim filters.

And thank you for pointing that out regarding outgoing restrictions in the article I referenced. I tested out a rule on my test server in cPanel > Global Email Filters using regular expression, although it seems that had no effect either. I had believed the article above, would also apply to incoming restrictions. However, it appears that a different exim system file must be modified to filter incoming messages.
