    Good day Morning/Afternoon/Evening Every Body,

A client has been having 550 5.7.1 - Blocked due to Spam abuse.

I have white-listed the email address from our outbound mail server, deleted and recreated the email account but still having the same issue.
Below is the bounced back error message

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
    username@gmail.com
    host outbound.domain.com [1.2.3.4.5.6]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550 5.7.1 - Blocked due to Spam abuse

    Your help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi @cPanelMichael

    Thanks for your prompt response,

Yes this happened when sending an email "from" my cPanel & WHM server to a remote mail server.

The mail ip is not blacklisted in any RBL.

The "blacklist"(blocked due to spam abuse) is on my own outgoing mail server, not the external one.

I have white-listing the email both from our outbound mail server and from the user cpanel.

    Hi @ebuka,

Gmail uses their own internal blacklist to detect and block potential SPAM. Thus, even if your server's IP address isn't on a public RBL list, it's possible for messages to be blocked by Gmail. The best approach to solve this problem is to follow the instructions under the Gmail section on the tutorial linked in my previous response.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you.

Good Morning and a Happy new year @cPanelMichael

    Thanks for your response.

Maybe I am not communicating the issue clearly: The mail does not get off our server in the first place, the blockage is from our own internal mail server.
The error is from our outbound mail server not the receiving mail server.

    Thanks.

    Hi @ebuka,

Can you run the command below and post the output from the most recent delivery attempt? Ensure to post the output in CODE tags and replace real domain names and IP addresses with examples.

    Code:
    exigrep affected-user@domain.tld /var/log/exim_mainlog
    Thank you.

    @cPanelMichael
Thanks alot for your guide, the issue has been resolved.

The black-list was from spamHaus, it seem like our outbound mail server is using black-list database from spamhaus.

    Thanks.
