Should this be a concern? I have APF 9 installed along with BFD. I have double checked my deny hosts file and iptables and the ip exists in both.

However the apache status page in WHM shows the requests still from the blocked IP address.

Server load is not rising however is this normal? I've blocked IP's in the past and immediately the apache status page drops the blocked ip's requests.

Is this blocked IP showing against active requests?

No I don't believe it is

This ip address is showing in the apache status but does not reflect a Sending reply or Request status.

    That sounds fine then.

The Apache status page lists the activities of Apache processes, and until a given process deals with a new request the details of the most recent request will remain.

If you really want to clear the IP out of the Apache status, just repeatedly open loads of the sites you host and repeatedly reload them lots - but it's probably not worth the effort!
