Hello...

A specific IP address is posting malicious comments on one of my WordPress sites.

I went to WHM and blacklisted that IP in cPHulk.

But today I see more comments from that exact same IP.

I just want that person/entity/bot to not be able to load any of my websites at all. Is this possible?

Thanks!

George

PS. I'm already using Akismet.

Hey there! I wouldn't expect cPHulk to have any effect on that type of traffic. cPHulk is designed to block malicious users from trying to brute force their way into server resources, by repeatedly guessing passwords. If you want to completely block the IP at the server level it would be best to do that at the firewall itself.

cPanel doesn't have any tools to manage the firewall so you'd need to do that manually, although there are plugins from third party companies that let you manage the firewall directly in the WHM interface if you find that is easier.
