I tried to follow the settings of ( http://www.cpanelplus.com/staticpages/index.php?page=2003073009541160 ), but I do bleieve I made amistake, since it's stopped working now. all emails getting a error right now. Which is fine at the moment actually - since I'm getting flooded with spam.

But I would really like to know how I can resore and force CPANEL defaults. IE : get rid of all my changes and go back to the original.

Any help would be god send.

    Thanks

In the end of my How-To (cpanelplus) I have stated how you could return back to the default settings .. A faster way is:

    rm -f /etc/exim_outgoing.conf
    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/exim4

    then uninstall mailscanner.

If you have any problems please email to the email address in the How-To. If you are still interested in having mailscanner installed you can consider the paid installation service.

I still get hourly message like this >>

    Code:
    /etc/cron.hourly/check_MailScanner:

MailScanner manually shut down (no /var/lock/subsys/MailScanner.off file).
    Not restarting.

    You did not uninstall MailScanner.

    use rpm -e --nodeps PackageName
    get the package name using:

    rpm -q mailscanner

The mailscanner from layer1 is really the best way to go right now as it works great and stays updated since it is incorporated.

    You call this updated?

Installing Clam AV and MailScanner manually means you can always get the latest stable versions any time
