It seems that boxtrapper is a good idea but missing a very important setting:

Most mailing list send mail with a FROM address of the poster and a TO address of the list address. So in a list with 1000 different posters a week you would have to manually whitelist 1000 senders - that is more work than help.
If you could whitelist the TO address the problem would be solved. But Boxtrapper does not have the option of whitelisting by TO address.
Did the cpanel people just forget this or ignore it?
Right now I think boxtrapper does more harm than good because human authenticators are not very appreciated anyway on net communities and with no ability to whitelist a whole list by its TO address you would be banned very fast!

I think you miss the point.

BoxTrapper is a 3rd script provide by DarkOrb and your comments on the script are mis-directed.

Second, it would be up to the Individual 'receiving' the eMail to Whitelist -- regardless of who it is from. So the recipients of Newsletters should have some foresight to Whitelist the Newsletter address and, if a challenge is kicked back, the Newsletter Mgr. should handle it. Be it responding to the challenge or letting people know that challenges will be ignored.
