Boxtrapper whitelist probs

    I have numerous clients who are receiving mail from addresses that are not in the whitelist at all. The logs show that the addresses are in the whitelist such as the following even when the user has zero addresses allowed via whitelists:

    Found user in whitelist username@domain.net

    Anyone else encounter this problem?

    I am also having this problem and when I view the whitelist I find a line with just "from" on it.

    Delete the 'from' from the whitelist and see what happens.
    I didn't have any problem with the whitelist

    I did delete the from but it occationally appears again sometimes, although it has not done it for a while so it might have been sorted in one of the fixes.

    I have also had this problem. It seems that when you add someone to the white/ignore list, a blank "from" line gets added to the file (which apparently matches anything!). Needs fixed, or when someone ignores and address and the blank from line gets added, they'll get no more email except from those who are in the whitelist.

    Will report to bugzilla if it's not already there.

    When using the queue to add a new email to the whitelist, i always get an error message, but the email is added. The error seems to be the stupidity of the blank "from" line that I always have to manually remove.

    Just wondering if anyone else gets this error message?

    Although the issues of the blank "From:" line make sense......I never see a blank "From:" line at all.
    This is still happening quite a bit....a user just reported a piece of extremely obvious spam, and sure enough a look in the boxtrapper log for that particular user showed:

    "Found user in whitelist nggidzmcnanc@adfservice.com/Unlike other spam blocking software, Spam Remedy quickly and easily blocks spam before it ever gets to yo
    ur inbox s"

    but of course this address is not in the white list for the user, nor is there any blank entries in the whitelist.

    Anyone have a clue?
