Brand new WHM Install on FC4

    Hi,

    What kind of instalation for the Fedora Core 4 is better for CPANEL install?

    Basic server. cpanel will install what it needs.

    I'm pretty sure that basic server installs some daemons by default. I would personnaly go with minimal and make sure that it does not install any services. By letter cPanel intall those, you get much better results.

    Indeed. Minimal is usually best. I would also urge you to reconsider using FC4 and think about using CentOSv4 instead. You're only going to have to upgrade your whole OS in less than 6 months time if you use FC.

    Like Chirpy said use CentOS v4 for your operating system, Its open source and free just like fedora but where fedora has a lifetime of 6 months centos has a lifetime of 5 yrs of support and updates.

    Since the price is the same for both and both are based off of redhat linux use the centos OS you will be a lot happier with the results

    That's pretty much what I was shooting for... :p

    And I'll second/third/whatever the CentOS over FC4 sentiments. If you go that route, make sure you don't use the SELinux option.
