I upgraded to 8.4.0-S87 and all images in the header and footer of cpanel show as broken. The icons and other images in between display fine.

I used Blue Lagoon and now it has been replace by some other theme. How do I fix the broken images? I tried restarting cpanel and even did a reboot on the machine but the problem remains. Any suggestions enybody?

And something else: I think we should be forwarned when such changes are about to be implemented. Posting a news item in WHM news couldn't be too hard.

BTW, this only happens on the home page of Cpanel. Other pages display a header properly that says Cpanel X, I guess Blue Lagoon has been replaced by X skin.

Well, I checked the code for the header and it's not that images are missing, the src tag for the images is empty.

    <TD noWrap align=left width=145><IMG height=124 src="" width=145></TD>
    <TD noWrap align=left width=145><IMG height=124 src="" width=145></TD>
    <TD noWrap align=left width=145><IMG height=124 src="" width=145></TD>
    <TD noWrap align=left width=145><IMG height=124 src="" width=145></TD>

Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

    Try

    rm -f /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel
    /scripts/upcp

this will force cPanel to re-sync all your files.

    This fixed it, thank you!

I like this new skin, more modern then the previous version of blue lagoon and it still loads fast.
