    Hi,

When i create a user and password with more than 8 digits , to password protect my folder , say :
username : testtesttestest and password : testtesttestest ,

then when i try accessing the folder , and i enter only the following

    username : testtesttestest
    password : testtest

I am able to access the folder ....

Is this a bug in cpanel ??? IS there any fix for this ??? :(

Not really a bug as it is customary for both BSD and AT&T derived Unix to ignore more than 8 characters in passwords (including FreeBSD). The 8 character limit is due to historical limitations of crypt(3).

Not sure how dificult it would be for cpanel to incorporate blowfish authentication, or, should I say, to incorporate blowfish with a cpanel installation.
