    Hi,

I am having troubles with email to some domains from my server. I suppose it is a cpanel bug since it is fully reproducible.

    Steps are as follow:

    1. Create a new account on WHM (domain: somedomain.tld)
    2. Go to "Modify an Account", select the new created account and change the domain.

(First bug: WHM creates the zone for the new domain, but doesn't delete the old one, even though that site is no more available)

From this point, I have not been able ro route mail again to someaddress@somedomain.tld (the domain created on step 1. It's hosted elsewere, actually.. it has never changed his host, only was a mistake in creating the new account)
I've deleted DNS zone for this domain.. deleted the account that hosted it, reboot the server and nothing works.
If you do a dig for that fomain from ssh everything looks ok, but smtp tries to send the mail to localhost, and.. rejects it. :-?

The sender receives a mail with this error:

    ------------ BEGIN -----------------------
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    someuser@somedomain.tld
    Unrouteable address
    ------------ END -----------------------

At first I thought it was an issue of DNS resolver cache, but this happened some days ago and still cant send mail to that domain.

Any clues on how to solve it ?

    Thanks in advance..
    Ce1ta

Make sure that the new domain exists in /etc/localdomains

    Yes !! it worked !! :)

So.. if a user's main domain is changed, one has to manually delete DNS zone and erase the line with that domain in /etc/localdomains...

It's a good thing to solve in next versions of WHM :)

    Thank you very much, ciphervendor

I'll submit a bug report so that this gets fixed.
