Password Protect Directory is not working at all if suPHP is enabled and it's works fine if PHP is compiled as an apache module.

With suPHP I see following error in apache error logs -

Wed Apr 16 08:40:01 2008] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/USER/public_html/401.shtml
[Wed Apr 16 08:40:05 2008] [error] MySQL ERROR: Access denied for user 'nobody'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
[Wed Apr 16 08:40:05 2008] [error] MySQL user admin not found: /test
[Wed Apr 16 08:40:05 2008] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/USER/public_html/401.shtml

Can someone check whether it is bug with suPHP and latest Cpanel v11 ?

What type of password protection are you using?

The password protection that is used by cPanel does not use MySQL (unless something has changed that I'm not aware of). I'm not sure why you are getting a MySQL error in your error log for password protection.

It sounds like you might be using mod_mysql_auth. You may need to read through the configuration for mod_mysql_auth, it looks like you are not specifying the correct MySQL username and database.
