I am using a bulk email software (not for spamming !) for my mailing list. However, the software gets to about 20 emails through the list and the rest of the emails receive a 11004 error.

I have tested the port using telnet and get the following:

220-www.***.com ESMTP Exim - We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited, 220 and/or bulk e-mail.

Is exim causing this problem ? If so, please can someone tell me what i need to change

    Thanks

that message is given to any connection to exim as part of the banner. Try telnetting to your server on port 25, you'll see. That message is defined in the exim configure file.

It's hard to say what the error is without seeing what's in the rejectlog/paniclogs.
