Bunch of questions, some relating to Cpanel.

Alrighty here are my top questions!

Background:

I'm going to save and attempt to start a web hosting business. I've thought out costs for scripts, server, maintenance and employees. I'm saving up for a few months. However I have some questions.

Stuff I'm looking into: Hostgator's Maintained Dedicated Server, Standard Or Elite (which is the best ... getting your best server first or going with a smaller one?)

http://www.hostgator.com/dedicated.shtml

With RedHat.

Questions:

- Is hostgator good for their maintenance? I've done a few searches, but am unsure.
- It comes with Cpanel, WHM. Is there a better billing and account creating solution I should be using?
- Would you guys recommend Paypal for every transaction with a business account?
- If I decided it was time for another server, how would I link servers together via automatic billing and account management? Which automatic and account management is preferred?
- How reliable are The Planet's Datacenters?

There might be more but that's all I can top off my head.

Thanks,

Dan.

You should check hostgator reviews on webhostingtalk. I think I've read there some bad stuff about them, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, I used to have a crappy shared account, but this is my own dedicated, meaning there are no limitations -- only those of the server.

As MMarko pointed out, these questions would be more suited to be asked over at http://webhostingtalk.com forums.

Cpanel/WHM is not a

It is a server control panel suited to the hosting environment.

Scripts such as ModernBill and ClentExec are what you should be looking at for billing and account creation.
