C Panel

    hey ppl:)

    lets start off by saying I have no clue how to work Cpanel and tonight is the first night im using it. I need to complete this stuff before tomorrow and its nearly tomorrow i been trying to work this out for so long. I'm trying to get to the main interface of our Cpanel but i can only work myself to a mail link within the Cpanel main interface. Please could anyone help:(

    It would be ever so appreciated!!:)

    You can login with https://www.yourdomain.com:2083

    replace yourdomain.com with the name of your dad's website.

    You'll need to get the login information from his web host if you don't have it.

    ok well im doin this actually for my dad, he can work his whole business mail stuff from c panel but we can't get to that page with the icons on that it talks about there:(

    hey it still doesn't take me into the main Cpanel interface it takes me into the mial link within the Cpanel interface:confused:

    You must have bought a mail only account.

    Gee I hope not. I used to be able to get into the main screen interface.... Okay, lets say its a mail only account... how would one do a backup as that function is on the main page?

    You could always go into the WHM and change the package to one that has the features and resources you need.


    Oh an btw, ... it's "cPanel" ! not "c Panel", not "Cpanel" not "C panel" and not "C Panel".

    You are welcome Dave :) ..got to pay you back some how :)

    OH and BTW .. "WHM" should be if it's not already a registered trademark of cPanel, Inc.

    Okay, have established that :2087 as opposed to 2083 takes you to WHM however my user name and password that I usually use to get into :2083 doesnt work here?? Please help. How do I get in?

    You only get access to WHM if you are a reseller or root user.. if you are only on shared hosting you will need to contact your host
