    Hello:
I posted yesterday, and this is very urgent, so I was hoping someone could help who may not have seen my earlier post.
The Exim configuration on the server is set to not verify senders, nor do callbacks, nevertheless, clients are getting emails from very important people bounced with the 'smtp;550-Callback setup failed while verifying' error.
Is our server on some sort of blacklist because we used to do callbacks? (I disabled the callbacks early last week), or could there be something in exim.conf that will cause it to ignore the box I checked in WHM?

See if this entry is there in exim.conf

    require verify = sender/callout

From WHM you can check it by looking at Service Configuration->Exim Configuration Editor->Advanced

Try to find it in second of the three boxes.

You may like to change it to

    require verify = sender

    Thanks

    Thank you very much.
It appears that my administrator put the sendees in question in a whitelist and it seemed to work. Well, I haven't heard anything from them since, anyhow. :)
