Is it possible that a users password can be changed by anything other than someone physically changing it?

My thoughts are the user is simply entering the wrong password as this person is the only person to experience it.

The user is more than likely inputting the incorrect info. Either the user has plain `forgotten` their password, or perhaps their account was compromised and the offender has changed the password ( Not saying for sure thats the reason; but a possibility ).

Try modifying the password and informing the client of the new pass. Tell them to update their password again after first login ( Be sure to remind them to use both alpha and numerics to ensure their password is unique ) Doing this will lock out any offender that may have had access; Besure to make sure the files are the actual clients and nothing was altered if there was an intruder.

You will have to look closely at this users logs ( cpanel, ftp, etc ) to ensure that it was not compromised.
