One of my customers want to make a copy of the contents of certain mailboxes before deleting them,
so my first answer was recommending to use IMAP to download all the contents to a local PC, however
if there is too much information in the account that would take too much time.

So I was wondering if it would be possible to create a new mailbox called backup@mydomain.com
and copy there the contents of the folders of the other accounts I want to keep contents from.

The idea is to create a folder for each mailbox and copy in there the INBOX, SENT MAILs and other
folders. Is that possible? How easy would it be to read the email contents then after?

    Hello :)

Have you considered using the email archiving feature instead? It's documented here:

    cPanel - Email Archiving

    Thank you.
