Ive just got a brand new dedicated server with webmin installed and I was wondering if any issues would arise if I installed cPanel over the top of this as I really would rather not use webmin after using WHM/CP for so many years.

Can anyone offer any insight into this?

We installed cpanel with Webmin already installed some years ago without any problems.
Would suggest you remove it after installing cpanel though, or why not before?
    #/etc/webmin/uninstall.sh
Or if the rpm version is installed:
    #rpm -e webmin

cPanel should be setup only on a clean, freshly-provisioned, minimal OS installation with the latest OS updates already downloaded and applied. The cPanel installer will take care of installing all necessary services. If there is an existing control panel installed the best way to proceed forward with minimal difficulty is to format the HDD and re-provision a new OS install.
