    Hi,

    I got a new VPS and want to move accounts.

    Now I have 1 (old) account with lots of add on domains.
    I want each of those domains to have their own account on the new server.

    What would be the best way to transfer the domains including content, database etc. ?

    Thanks,
    Ralf

    Hi;

    There is some manual work involved in this move.

    1. First you need to unpark the addon domains from main domain.

    2. Then create a new separate cPanel account for the domain on the new server.

    3. Move the data from addon domain folder to newly created account in public_html folder.

    4. Take the dump of old DB associated with addon domain.

    5. Create a new DB for new domain from cPanel and restore the dump from step 4 in new DB.

    6. Make the changes related to DB connection like MySQL user/pass/DB in your code.

    7. The Emails related to the addon domains will be lost during this process.
