I am working with someone that wants webmin and cpanel on the same server for different reasons. is this o.k. or does anyone think that installing webmin might bug out cpanel?

    Thanks,

    Go on, have a guess
Well, you can install and run webmin on the same server, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you understand how cPanel works with regard to virtual FTP and mail users, otherwise you could get a nasty shock or two.

So long as you know what you're doing, it would theoretically be fine. But if you knew what you were doing, you would not need to run webmin.

Moral: I would not recommend running webmin on the same server. I would recommend either sticking to the WHM interface and/or finding out what software runs on the server and investigating how it is setup through their configuration files, visiting the software web sites, and gaining a better understanding from the shell prompt.

The latter, of course, is best done on a server not in production ;)
