    Where would this be logged?

I know I can trace online and kill the process, but would like to know where this is logged.

I am also curious to know why process manager has so little information about the user and where they originate from.

    Whats my name?

I dont know if you can do this in linux, we can in freebsd.

See if you can do a man on "ktrace" and "kdump". Its not basic stuff so it might not be what you want.

In addition to the last response, I usually prefer to use the 'lsof' command as usually it will show you the exact path that the process executed from.

    lsof -p <PID> |more
