    This is a new server transfer, I can send mail to the server from another server and receive it. But I can not send mail direclty to the server through any mail accounts, have reinstalled exim, tried all the fixes that I have found on the forums. Nothing is working, when I send directly to the server from my mail client it just dissapears.

    Any clues would be appreciated.

    They never show up in the logs at all, the mail that I send through the other server does show up and I get it.

    Exim install from canel works outof the box unless it is fiddled with.
    I tried with FireFox and could not replicate what you are getting.

    Check your exim.conf for following:

    begin authenticators

    fixed_plain:
    driver = plaintext
    public_name = PLAIN
    server_condition = "${perl{checkuserpass}{$1}{$2}{$3}}"
    server_set_id = $2

    fixed_login:
    driver = plaintext
    public_name = LOGIN
    server_prompts = "Username:: : Password::"
    server_condition = "${perl{checkuserpass}{$1}{$2}}"
    server_set_id = $1

    This is the area which could be causing you trouble.

    WHM 9.9.8 cPanel 9.9.8-C11
    RedHat 7.3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Code:
    2004-10-22 13:50:00 fixed_login authenticator failed for (host) [24.17.x.x]:4995 I=[66.x.x.x]:27: 535 Incorrect authentication data (set_id=user2@domain.com)

    I too have been having this very problem only since yesterday. It seems to only affect certain email addresses.

    For instance, I can send and receive frome user1@domain.com
    Can receive but not send from user2.domain.com

    Permissions on folders and files seem to be correct. This has me totally stumped!

    I have made no changes to my exim.conf.

    I have ran the following several times to no avail:
    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/upcp
    /scripts/exim4
    /scripts/mailscannerupdate
    /scripts/mailperm

    Anyone have a solution they can share, or any suggestions?

    I am having problems with this, done anyone know the solution, I have a client who is not very happy at not being able to send mail through the server it appears to affect most of the users under her domain.
