cannot delete subdomain files

    hello,

    i am sure this has been answered but i cannot delete files of a subdomain, any time i try recreating it says this subdomain exists, i believe it cannot deleted via cpanel or ftp, any idea how to do it?

    Root Administrator
    If you cannot delete the files, they are either not owned by your user or too low of permissions to be removed. You'll have to contact your hosting provider to ask them to check the ownership and file permissions, although you could see those in an FTP client such as Filezilla (that FTP client will typically list owner and group as well as file permissions)

    Root Administrator
    Your access level is indicated as website owner rather than root administrator, which is why it sounded (based on your post) that you did not have SSH access. Have you tried removing the files as root user in SSH? You could check the ownership and permissions in command line:

    ls -ld /home/username/public_html/subdomain && ls -l /home/username/public_html/subdomain
