Cannot log into cPanel

Hello I am having a problem with cPanel whenever i try to log into cPanel a authorization box comes up i type my username and password correctly and it just keeps popping up like it is wrong i have changed my password many times and it still is not working for about a day and half i have been talking to the people at my hosting website and they keep giving me the same answer.I can log into the FTP fine but not the cPanel.Please help

Are you making sure if your the server admin, using the deafult admin username: root,
if you forget your password, SSH into the password file, edit it.
